2:57 pm	My Crafting Update Well, I've been busy the last few weeks. Actually FINISHED a few things! Also coincidentally, with the recent peyote stitch butterfly post reminding me of how I used to make beaded bags with that stitch, my daughter happened to be looking through a box of books still yet unpacked and we found my pattern book on how to make beaded bags! I was so thrilled I immediately (that is, immediately after watching the movie Hostel) started one last night. I'll have to post when it's finished. In the meantime check out what I've done so far! (I'm putting most of this on ebay to see how it fares. Someday I want to start an online store. Hey wouldn't it be neat to have Crafty bloggers here contribute to such a thing? just a fleeting thought) Pics here: (Comment on this)

12:50 pm	Crotchet Purses --- finally! Ok I finally got pics of my purses uploaded!!! My first one is just white and blue alternated stripes with a blue handle. I tried to do it all crotchet, including the binding together of the purse and handle. There is only 1 seam which I had to sew. My 1st one! Next is a green, pink and white wide striped purse. I tried doing a wide strap attached to the front and back rather than the sides. Afterwards, I think I prefer straps attached to the sides. Green, Pink, & White Finally is a burgundy evening handbag size purse with gold thread crotcheted directly in. The strap is finger woven (this effect can be created with a MagiCord machine too, but for me the finger weaving was easier). I really like how this one turned out My Pride and Joy! I'm going to be putting linings in all of them to help their durability and to created pockets. I'll let u all know when I've got that done. Tink Current Mood: cheerful (Comment on this)

1:59 pm	Handmade Card I actually made this a couple of months ago, but don't know if anyone saw it since I couldn't post pics. I'm pretty proud of it as it's my most intricate card yet. Front Inside I made the hearts on the inside because there were 3 of us signing the card but I hadn't finished it when the other 2 were present to sign it. This way they put their signatures on pieces of paper and I just stuck the papers on the hearts. Tink (Comment on this)
